Great detectives needed!

A mystery is waiting to be solved in

Salisbury Plain

Ancient and Military Historian Avery Oldate is due to give crucial evidence at the Military Tribunal of a War Crime suspect. But, our Special Investigation Branch has received a tip-off that someone plans to intercept Avery before he reaches the tribunal in Larkhill! Without him, the whole case falls apart, and the cruel criminals will get away. As part of our Special Investigation Team (YOU!), it's up to you to follow the Trail of Clues and identify the perpetrator before it's too late. Report any findings immediately to your Local Intelligence Officer Ann Onymous at HQ so her crack squad of constables can apprehend the suspect and ensure Avery safely gives his evidence. Let's get to work, Investigators!

Salisbury Plain Military Lands Byelaws are posted on the way; please stick to directions, adhere to usual prohibitions, and obey specific restrictions.

The route isn’t friendly for wheelchair users and pushchairs.

Although this is a dog-friendly Trail, the optional detour to Stonehenge isn't.

There are public toilets available at the beginning of the Trail, and refreshment stops are limited once you leave the services, so pack plenty of supplies.

Looking for more things to do near Salisbury Plain? Make a day of it and take the optional detour to the Stonehenge Visitor Centre, or visit Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm Park.

Mini Detective Club

We have three super duper themed Clubs for your child to enjoy as part of their Treasure Trail experience.

Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.
