Join renowned archaeologist Dr Cliffe Anger and his trusty sidekick Doug Bones on an epic quest to uncover the long-lost Roman gold buried deep beneath the Town Hall in Chester. The exact location of the treasure has been shrouded in mystery for centuries, but with the recent discovery of a map, the duo is hot on its trail.
But beware, the fiendish booby trap set to protect the gold requires a code to be disarmed. Can YOU crack the digits and help Cliffe and Doug rescue the treasure before it falls into the wrong hands? Keep your eyes peeled for any suspicious characters along the way…
Archaeological Code-Breaking City Tour in Chester
Embark on an exciting self-guided adventure through Chester with this spy mission themed Treasure Trail. As you follow the trail, you'll need to put your code-breaking skills to the test as you solve sneaky clues hidden on existing buildings, permanent features, and monuments, just like a true secret agent.
This relatively short Trail begins outside the stunning Town Hall and takes you on a journey through Northgate, where you'll explore a section of the city's historic walls and the charming Canal before returning to your starting point.
