An incredible discovery has just been made in Barrow-in-Furness! During a recent archaeological dig, a Viking skeleton was uncovered, and in its hands, a sealed vessel containing a treasure map. This map is said to lead to the fabled treasure of Erik the Red, but there’s a catch - no one knows exactly where to begin the search.
Local explorer Buck O'Nere believes he's pinpointed the island off the Cumbrian coast where Erik’s treasure could be buried, but he has no idea where to start digging.
That’s where YOU come in. Armed with a set of clues based on key locations around Barrow Park, your task is to follow the trail, solve the puzzles, and uncover the treasure before anyone else does.

Please Note:
Your quest for the Viking hoard will explore the picturesque and historical Barrow Park.
There are some steps to navigate but these are easily avoided and with no roads to cross, the route is fully accessible for all budding explorers out there. There are also stops for some play and exercise if you need to let off steam!
As this expedition is set within the grounds of Barrow Park, we suggest you plan your snacks and supplies in advance. There is a café in the centre of the park but check ahead for opening times. There is also a supermarket opposite the Leisure Centre where you'll be able to pick up provisions for a picnic!
Toilets can be found next to the café which is in the centre of the park and where you'll be near on the second half of your quest.
