Joke
Talking of carrots...
Snowmen didn’t always have carrot noses - early ones used sticks or turnips! Carrots became popular simply because they were bright, easy to find in winter, and stuck perfectly in snow. In the 1700s and 1800s, carrots were valuable winter vegetables - not cheap, so “wasting” one on a snowman’s nose was a bit of a novelty. No wonky veg for pennies in those days!
