The Carmarthen Treasure Trail starts at:

St Catherine Street

Carmarthen

Carmarthenshire

Ceredigion And Carmarthenshire

SA31 1GA

Wales

We have three super duper themed Clubs for your child to enjoy as part of their Treasure Trail experience.

Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.

Before you set off on your awesome adventure to explore Carmarthen (Caerfyrddin), there are a few things you need to know...

The castle, along with lots of independent shops, are closed on Sundays.

The route isn’t friendly for wheelchair users and pushchairs due to unavoidable steps and some steep inclines.

Bring your four-legged friends along! Please note that it is a busy town centre, so dogs will need to be kept on leads.

The closest long-stay pay and display car park to the Trail start point is at St Catherine’s Walk (SA31 1GA), just a four-minute walk away.

There are some fantastic events in Carmarthen’s calendar, all of which are great times to visit this beautiful town. However, you may find that some of the Clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. We recommend checking for events before you set off on your investigation.

There are public toilets available towards Merlin’s Walk, and the route passes several pubs, snack shops and a few cafes along the way.

Looking for more things to do in Carmarthen? Make a day of it and visit Oriel King Street Gallery for an art fix. Head just outside of town to explore Carmarthenshire County Museum in Abergwili or take a trip on the Gwili Railway with a vintage train experience departing from nearby Bronwydd Arms.
