What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Navigating The Route

This is a circular Treasure Hunt through Solihull’s town centre, with explorers following pavements, pedestrian areas, parks and shopping precincts as they track down Henry VIII’s missing bowls. The route is mostly level and well-surfaced, making it suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. There are a few busy road crossings and town centre areas to navigate, so take care near traffic and keep your team together along busier stretches.

Getting There

Time to gather your explorers and begin the quest:

The Core, Theatre Square (B91 3RG) - Your official starting point, right in the heart of Solihull.

There are plenty of town centre car parks nearby, and Solihull train station is around a 10-minute walk from the start.

Need the Loo?

Even the boldest explorers need a quick pit stop!

Toilets, cafés and plenty of snack options can be found in the Touchwood Shopping Centre at the start and finish of your quest, as well as around Mell Square (near Clue 13).

Bring Your Furry Sidekicks

Four-legged explorers are welcome to join the adventure.

With town paths and park sections along the route, there’s plenty to sniff and explore - just keep leads handy near roads and in busier shopping areas.

Picnic & Play Stops

Malvern Park (after Clue 10) is a perfect spot for a break, with green space and a playground for younger explorers to let off steam before continuing the quest.
