The Battle Treasure Trail starts at:

Mount Street
Battle
Sussex
TN33 0EG
England

Please Note:

This route is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs due to some steps, narrow passageways and a small section with no pavement.

Bring your four-legged friends along! Please note that this is a busy town so dogs will need to be kept on a lead during the Trail. Only dogs on leads will be permitted into the cemetery at Clue 10.

The Trail starts at Mount Street pay and display car park, so we recommend parking here.

There are some fantastic events in Battle’s calendar, all of which are great times to visit this beautiful town. However, you may find that some of the Clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. If you would like further information about event dates, please contact Battle’s Visitor Information Point.

There are public toilets available at the start of the Trail, and the route passes several cafes, pubs and restaurants throughout the first half of the route and towards the end of the Trail.

Why not make a day of it and visit Battle’s Museum of Local History to discover more twisting tales of the town’s fascinating past? Opening times are 10 am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday 1st April to 31st October.
