What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Before you set off on your awesome adventure, there are a few things you need to know...

The Trail is friendly to both wheelchairs and pushchairs, although with alternative routes suggested to avoid steps.

Bring your four-legged friends along! Please note that this is a busy city centre, so dogs will need to be kept on leads.

The closest long stay pay and display car park is at Sheffield Station (S2 4AA), where the Trail begins, although there are cheaper alternatives at the NCP Sidney Street (S1 4RG) or the NCP Furnival Gate (S1 4QJ). Or why not try Sheffield’s fantastic Park and Ride service?

There are some fantastic events in Sheffield's calendar, all of which are great times to visit this beautiful city. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. If you would like further information about event dates, please contact Sheffield Visitor Information.

There are plenty of refreshment opportunities along the route. Toilets are available in the Millennium Gallery and Winter Gardens, and also in various local businesses displaying the blue LAVS sign, a scheme allowing non-customers to use their facilities free of charge.

Why not make a day of it by visiting some of the fascinating attractions along the way, such as Sheffield Cathedral, the Winter Garden or the Millennium Gallery? Or you could treat yourself to a little retail therapy in Sheffield's fantastic shopping centres!
