A trail of clues awaits in

Burford

In 1644, notorious and successful pirate, Ivor Fortune, sailed up the River Thames in his boat, Ye Olde Rosie, intent on escaping the authorities chasing him. Arriving in Oxfordshire, Ivor sold Ye Olde Rosie, married a local pub landlady, and settled down to a life of relative obscurity in a cottage in Burford. Centuries later, workmen renovating the cottage have uncovered an old map showing where Ivor buried the remains of his riches. With too much work on to bother about an old map, the workmen handed it over to the local council. The mayor is now seeking professional treasure hunters to track down the treasure so that it can be put to good use. Can YOU be the first to decipher the trail of clues scribbled on the map and pinpoint the location of Ivor's fortune? Good luck in your quest to do so!
