He is determined to stop them so that their festivities no longer distract him from his dastardly experiments. In his crazy world, he believes that by deactivating the church clock, he will make time stand still and put a stop to the nearby frivolity. According to our intel, he's planted a device in the vicinity of the tower, sure to cause misery and mayhem, and positioned his horrid henchmen around the town to ensure his silly scheme goes ahead.
