Things to do in Waterloo and South Bank - The Waterloo and South Bank Treasure Trail

Please Note: As much as we love people exploring on our Trails, now is not the right time. We want to help the NHS and protect all of you, so have decided to remove the facility for any Trail sales to be made on our website. As soon as social restrictions are relaxed, we'll make the Trails available again. If you would like to be informed as soon as this is, please drop us a note on the contact page.

Need a bit of retail therapy, or want to get a gift? You can still buy gift vouchers for future use.

The Waterloo and South Bank Treasure Trail starts at:

Waterloo Road
Lambeth
London
SE1 8SW
England

Please Note:

There is scheduled disruption to Waterloo station from summer 2017 due to major building works, however we do not believe this impacts the trail route.

The route is not marked as wheelchair friendly due to flights of steps, but those with light pushchairs should find the route manageable. The stepped sections can be avoided without losing access to Clues, but does require long detours.

This Trail takes you through areas where dogs are prohibited and through a very busy city centre so we would not recommend bringing your four-legged friends along.

The start and end locations of this Trail are located at Waterloo Station.

Access may be restricted to some parts of the Trail on some days due to special events in central London. For more information on planned events, please contact London’s Information Centre.

There are public toilets available at Jubilee Gardens in the middle of the Trail, and the route passes several pubs and a few cafes along the way. There are some great picnic spots along the riverside if the weather is nice!

The Trail visits the Jubilee Gardens, the Old Vic, the BFI and IMAX cinema. There are often cultural exhibitions and events in this area and licensed street performances to enjoy.

Why not make a day of it and try one of our other London Trails?
