Woodhall Spa, a quaint English village known for its peaceful atmosphere and charming tea and coffee shops, is under threat. The notorious soft drinks magnate, Kar Bonate, has hatched a dastardly plan to sabotage the town's water supply. His device, when activated, will fizz up any hot brew, rendering all the cafes out of business and replacing them with his own 'sparkling' outlets. It's up to YOU to follow the Trail, solve the clues, and uncover the code to disarm Kar's sneaky scheme.
Spy Mission Through Woodhall Spa - Treasure Hunt
Get ready for a thrilling self-guided Spy Mission as you sneak your way through the beautiful resort village of Woodhall Spa. Your mission will take you on a circular route, past the museum, and through the unique 'Kinema' in the woods, before reaching Jubilee Park. Keep an eye out for Kar's henchman, who will try to stop you from bursting his bubble!
According to intel, Kar Bonate has built a device that will mix an additive into the water supply, causing it to fizz up when heated. But with your sharp detective skills and the final code in hand, you can deactivate the device and save the village's tea and coffee shops.

Navigating The Route
This is a circular spy mission through Woodhall Spa’s village centre, wooded areas and Jubilee Park, with agents following pavements, quiet roads and forest paths as they gather intel to stop Kar Bonate’s bubbling plot.
The route includes gravel paths, woodland sections and a stretch with no pavement, so it is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
Getting There
Your mission begins at the Station Road pavement entrance to Royal Square Gardens (LN10 6QL).
By car:
Royal Square Car Park, Station Road (LN10 6QL) is your undercover base. If full, head to The Broadway Car Park nearby (LN10 6XG).
By public transport:
There is a bus service from Lincoln, but it is not that regular, so please check days and times before you set off.
Need the Loo?
Even elite agents need a quick comfort break! Toilets can be found along Spa Road after Clue 04 and again within Jubilee Park (around Clues 12-14), giving you a couple of well-timed opportunities to pause and regroup mid-mission.
Bring Your Furry Sidekicks
Four-legged agents are welcome on this mission 🐾 With a mix of village streets, woodland paths and parkland, it’s a great outing for canine companions - just keep leads handy near roads, wildlife and quieter wooded areas.
Food & Drink Stops
Agents, plan your supplies carefully! You’ll find good opportunities to stock up between Clues 01-06, again around Clue 08, within Jubilee Park and back in the village at the end of your mission. Perfect for grabbing refreshments while keeping a low profile… and ensuring your drinks remain reassuringly unfizzy.
