Things to do in Ilfracombe - The Ilfracombe Treasure Trail

Please Note: As much as we love people exploring on our Trails, now is not the right time. We want to help the NHS and protect all of you, so have decided to remove the facility for any Trail sales to be made on our website. As soon as social restrictions are relaxed, we'll make the Trails available again. If you would like to be informed as soon as this is, please drop us a note on the contact page.

Need a bit of retail therapy, or want to get a gift? You can still buy gift vouchers for future use.

The Ilfracombe Treasure Trail starts at:

Wilder Road
Ilfracombe
Devon
EX34 9BZ
England

Please Note:

There are a few steep hills to be climbed during this Trail (but the views are well worth it)!

The route is not marked as wheelchair friendly due to steep hills and uneven surfaces, however Trailers with pushchairs should find this manageable.

Bring your four-legged friends along!

There is a pay and display car park at Jubilee Gardens, right at the beginning of the Trail. However, there are lots of car parks just a short walk from the start point if this one is full.

Ilfracombe plays host to several popular events throughout the year from The Big Lunch and Ilfracombe Carnival, to the Beer Food and Music Festival. Although these are fantastic times to visit Ilfracombe, you may find that some of the Clues are obscured or difficult to access. If you are unsure as to whether an event will be on when you plan to visit you can contact Ilfracombe's Visitor Centre for more information.

There are public toilets at the start of the Trail and at various points throughout. The route passes several pubs and a few cafes along the way (and some very good ice cream parlours!).

Why not make a day of it and visit Ilfracombe’s Natural History Museum or take a stroll along the promenade with an ice cream in hand!
