Mini Detective Club
Mini Detective Club
We have three super duper themed Clubs for your child to enjoy as part of their Treasure Trail experience.
Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite
them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from
the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.

Before You Set Off
Before You Set Off
Before you begin...
Before you embark on your gang-busting case around Penzance, here are a few things worth knowing:
DIVERSION!
Harbour works are taking place in the first part of 2026 while Ross Bridge is renovated. The Chief has set a diversion route around the worksite to keep disruption to your investigation to a minimum.
Navigation and terrain
The Trail uses mostly even pavements, with some uneven brick paving too. Expect steep hills and steps, plus granite underfoot that can get slippery after rain, so check the forecast and come prepared. This mix of terrain means the Trail is not suitable for wheelchairs or heavy pushchairs. Light pushchairs may be manageable if you're happy lifting them over steps.
Bring your sniffer dogs along
This is a mainly urban beat but you will pass a couple of green spaces. Both welcome four-legged assistants (bins provided), but dogs should stay on leads.
Getting There - The Trail starts and ends at the entrance to Penzance Railway Station, (TR18 2LQ - W3W:///evening.bandstand.rarely) making it a great way to arrive! You've also got Penzance bus station right next door for extra convenience.
If driving, you can park up at the Harbour Long Stay pay and display car park (TR18 2GA - W3W:///vines.household.metro) is right by the start point, so you can park up and focus on the case straight away.
Need the loo?
Toilets can be found at:
West Cornwall Centre (near the start)
St John's Hall (later in the Trail, around Clues 18/19)
Penlee House Gallery & Museum cafe (customer facilities, around Clues 15/16)
