The Mischievous Plot to Steal The Couple
The good folk of Newbiggin are proud of The Couple, the largest off-shore sculpture in the UK. But all is not well for the future of The Couple. Evil Doctor Mak Hehm is rumoured to be up to his tricks again, and this time Newbiggin's famous sculpture is the target of his latest wicked scheme. Dr Mak Hehm has, under cover of darkness, installed a floating pontoon under The Couple. He plans to float the world-famous artwork away down the coast.
But fear not, for our organisation has a mole in Mak Hehm's group. The mole has found out about the pontoon and has discovered the code to deactivate the devious device. The mole realised she was likely to be caught, so set up a secret trail of clues that would lead to finding out the code. We need our best Bond Bairns agents to take up the mission around Newbiggin in order to find the code. Are YOU up for the challenge?

The Trail starts near to the Maritime Centre and takes you around this seaside town popular with the Victorians. The route explores the village and includes a fine walk along the curved promenade before finishing at the headland.
