The Great Manchester Bee Scandal - Help Solve the Case!

In the bustling city of Manchester, a scandal has rocked the community. The highly-regarded convention is in jeopardy after it was discovered that a colony of hard-working Greater Manchester bees have been swapped out by an unknown assailant for lesser-grafting counterparts. DCI Polly Nate is on the case, but she needs the help of top detectives (YOU!) to solve the mystery and bring the culprit to justice.

A Detective Mystery Through Manchester's Civic Quarter

Put on your detective hats and get ready to explore Manchester's Civic Quarter in this immersive and family-friendly mystery adventure. Starting at the Cenotaph in St Peter's Square, you'll sleuth your way through bustling shopping spots, green parks, and historical hotspots as you search high and low for those ever-sneaky clues.

But beware! The Civic Quarter is buzzing with anger and it's up to YOU to silence it. With the culprit on the run, it's a race against time to gather evidence, solve the mystery, and save the convention before it's too late.

What is a Treasure Trail?

Unfortunately, this Trail is not marked as wheelchair or pushchair friendly as there are some steps encountered along the route.

Bring your four-legged friends along! Please note that this is a busy city centre, so dogs will need to be kept on leads.

The closest long stay pay and display car park to the Trail start point is the Q-Park Piazza at St James Street, (M1 4LX) which is just a 4 minute walk away from the Trail's start point at Manchester Cenotaph in St Peter's Square. There are some fantastic events in Manchester's calendar, all of which are great times to visit this beautiful city. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. If you would like further information about event dates, please contact Manchester Visitor Information.

There are public toilets available in the Central Library close to the start and end point and at the Art Gallery, which is close to the first clue. There are also myriad cafes, restaurants, pubs and other eating establishments along the way to refuel hungry detectives!

Why not make a day of it by taking a look inside Manchester's Central Library indulging in a performance at The Bridgewater Hall or popping into the Great Northern Shopping Centre on your way around? You could even extend your visit further afield by visiting some of Manchester's other fantastic attractions, like the Science and Industry Museum or the People's History Museum?
