More Information:

Before you set off on your awesome adventure to explore Machynlleth, there are a few things you need to know...

This Trail is along a relatively level route but has not been marked as wheelchair or pushchair friendly due to some grassed areas and uneven surfaces encountered along the Trail route.

Bring your four-legged friends along! Please note that there is one clue that is in an area where dogs are not permitted, so we could not advise bringing along your pup if you are doing the Trail alone.

There is a pay and display car park located on Maengwyn Street (SY20 8DY), where the Trail begins. There are public toilets available at the car park.

During May, Machynlleth plays host to an annual comedy festival, so although a great time to visit this beautiful town, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access. If you would like further information about event dates around the town, please see the Visit Wales Spotlight on Machynlleth website.

Looking for more things to do in Machynlleth? Make a day of it and visit the nearby Falconry Experience Wales for some conservation education and to see these beautiful birds in action. You could also discover more of Machynlleth's artistic history at the Museum of Modern Art or spend an afternoon exploring along the beautifully restored narrow-gauge steam Corris Railway!

Mini Detective Club

We have three super duper themed Clubs for your child to enjoy as part of their Treasure Trail experience.
