Your mission, should you choose to accept it, starts at the Corn Hall in Cirencester, where the CIA (Cirencester Intelligence Agency) has uncovered a sinister plot by their arch-rivals, the RATS (Red Army of Trained Spies). Intelligence reports indicate that the RATS are planning to poison the local water supply in the Cotswolds. It's up to YOU to stop them!

But beware, the RATS are always watching. As you follow the trail, solving clues and deciphering codes, keep an eye out for any suspicious characters. They may be disguised with false beards and moustaches, but you'll need to use all your spy skills to stay one step ahead.

Before you set off on your awesome adventure, there are a few things you need to know...

This Trail takes you through Cirencester Park, which opens between 8am and 5pm.

This Trail has not been marked as wheelchair friendly due to stretches of the route where pavements are very narrow, as well as sections in the park with no footpath. This route would be suitable for pushchairs, but please note that there is a small section of this walk that can be muddy in winter or very wet weather.

Bring your four-legged friends along!

The closest pay and display car park to the Trail start point is located at The Forum (GL7 1FN); however, there is a maximum stay of four hours. We would recommend the Abbey Grounds (GL7 2DA) or The Waterloo (GL7 2PY) to make the most of your day.

The Phoenix Festival, held at the end of August, is a free festival that takes place in the Abbey Grounds. Although this is a fantastic time to visit Cirencester, you may find that several of the clues will be obscured or hard to access. As a prominent market town, Cirencester is often home to markets and fayres that may make some of the clues difficult to access. If you are unsure as to whether there is an event occurring that may hinder your Trail experience, please contact the local Tourist Information office.

There are public toilets available at The Forum and The Brewery car parks, and the route passes several pubs, restaurants and a few cafes along the way.

Why not make a day of it and visit the Corinium Museum to learn about Cirencester's fascinating heritage or take a long stroll around the parks and gardens!

Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.
