The Kidnapped Pizzaiolo - who will feed the tennis stars now?

The Wimbledon Village and Common are abuzz with excitement as the mixed doubles final approaches. But just hours before the match, legendary pizzaiolo Tony Mozzarella, head chef at the PizzaExpress Players' Pizzeria, is kidnapped! With the players' nutrition in the balance, the Chief Inspector needs YOUR help to solve the case and bring Chef Mozzarella back to the kitchen.

The Case of the Missing Mozzarella

Put your detective skills to the test as you embark on an immersive self-guided mystery through the unique Wimbledon Village and Common. As you patrol the area, you'll gather evidence from the All England Lawn Tennis Club and follow up on witness reports around parts of the Common (watch out for Wombles!).

Can YOU catch the culprit and save the Wimbledon final?

The ball's in your court, super sleuths!

PS. This Trail is free to download, thanks to the awesome folks at PizzaExpress Wimbledon! You'll also finish at PizzaExpress, where, if you've done a good job on the case, the Chief Inspector will reward you with a special deal!

What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Before you set off on your awesome adventure to explore Wimbledon, there are a few things you need to know…

The route is friendly for pushchair and wheelchair users.

This Trail is suitable for dogs, but Wimbledon Village can get very busy during the tennis tournament so please ensure your dog is happy with potentially busy pavements at the start and finish of the Trail.

The closest long stay (max. five hours) parking to the Trail start point is along Peek Crescent (SW19 5ER, charges apply), just a three-minute walk away. However, during the tennis tournament, we strongly advise arriving via public transport. Wimbledon Station has excellent Mainline, Underground (District Line) and Tramlink connections and is a 15-minute walk away, or a short bus ride.

The area will be busy during the Wimbledon tennis championships. It’s always best to check for known road closures if planning to arrive by car.

There are public toilets available towards the middle of the Trail, at Cannizaro Park, and the route passes several pubs and a few cafes along the way.

This Trail is free to download, thanks to the awesome folks at PizzaExpress Wimbledon! You'll also finish at PizzaExpress, where, if you've done a good job on the case, the Chief Inspector will reward you with a special deal!

All correct answers submitted during the tournament will be entered into a special draw for a £100 PizzaExpress voucher.
