Did you solve the mystery?

As the TT Adventurer sailed through calm waters, Detective Rex Mapstone knew the time had come. With the Captain at his side, they approached Oscar Freeman’s cabin. Freeman, standing by the window, turned slowly as they entered.

“The game’s over, Freeman,” Rex said, his voice calm but firm.

Freeman’s eyes darted nervously. “What do you think you’ve got on me?”

Rex stepped closer, his gaze unwavering. “I’ve got it all. And I know you used the rope,” he said quietly.

Freeman’s face paled as the Captain stepped forward and secured his wrists with handcuffs. Without another word, they led him away, the mystery solved and the chaos aboard the cruise ship finally over.

Rex sighed, knowing that as this chapter closed, the next mystery was already waiting just around the corner...

The clue answers:

Clue 01 - the year 1988 eliminated the piece of hair that was logged as evidence but turned out to be unrelated to this crime.

Clue 02 - the name of the three islands was Elaphite, which was an anagram of Pat Helie, an innocent suspect.

Clue 03 - the sign with 24 letters reads Troll Free Zone - No Souvenirs. The 11th and 21st letters are the initials of Oliver Newton.

Clue 04 - the digits required from the TEL numbers revealed 1886 which allowed us to discard the glove as a red herring.

Clue 05 - the name of the harbour is Casey Moran Harbour which eliminated the suspect with the same name from our inquiries.

Clue 06 - the box on the truck contains Super Fresh Corn. Rearranging Super Fresh identified Usher Freps as an innocent passenger who was completely unaware that anything was amiss.

Clue 07 - Jack & Newell revealed the year 1893, which removed the fingerprints from the evidence pot.

Final Answer - eliminating all of the above suspects and evidence left Oscar Freeman and the Rope as the solution to The Voyage of No Return. You can revisit the Virtual Trail here.
