A poetic treasure hunt
Celebrate World Poetry Day with a rhyming treasure hunt at home
The most famous poets across the globe are all desperate to be crowned best of them all at the World Championships. After a secret meeting in your area, each poet set off to try and win votes. They hid clues, said to lead to treasure, in houses on your street...and your house is one of them!
With help from grown-up explorers, mini treasure seekers can set off on a treasure hunt around their home, solving rhyming clues and having heaps of fun along the way. Simply download and print the activity sheet below, cut out the clues and 'treasure', and hide them in the right places, ready for your young explorers to find them.
It's time to put your clue-solving and treasure-seeking skills to the test on a real-life adventure!
Treasure Trails are a super fun activity for kids and big kids alike, and with over 1,200 Trails across the UK, you'll be spoilt for choice. Will you tackle another treasure hunt and search for the long-lost loot? Or will you unleash your inner super sleuth on a detective mystery or secret agent on a spy mission?
There's no need to queue or book ahead - simply pop the place you'd like to explore in the search bar, choose your Trail and get ready to explore!
