Before you set off on your awesome adventure, there are a few things you need to know...

Unfortunately, the route is not friendly for wheelchair users and pushchairs due to some unavoidable, steep steps during the expedition.

We don't recommend bringing your four-legged friends along as you will be exploring along a busy high street.

The closest long stay pay and display car park to the Trail start point is at Watford Queens (WD17 2UB), just a two-minute walk away.

There are some fantastic events in Watford's calendar, all of which are great times to visit this vibrant town. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. There are public toilets available near Clue 14, and the route passes several pubs, cafes and snack shops along the way. There's plenty of green space in the first half of the Trail if you pack supplies for a picnic!

Why not make a day of it and slip in some retail therapy at the Atria Watford centre? Or, head out of town to explore the beautiful Cassiobury Park.
