Hello and welcome to the seventh issue of TT Strange Times!

Regular readers of TT Strange Times will hopefully know by now that we wanted to offer a fun resource for puzzles, games, ideas and information to help us all through these uncertain times.

I must admit, I used to find the idea of staying in the UK for my annual holiday uninspiring and unappealing. Big mistake! In more enlightened years I have come to realise my good fortune in living in the UK, with its huge range of history, culture, landscapes – and weather! No longer is a UK-based holiday viewed as the runner’s up prize.

Even before the unprecedented events of spring/summer 2020 many more of us Brits had begun to forego the annual holiday ‘abroad’ for the delights of a UK-based holiday. For some this means literally staying in their own homes, but for others this has a wider meaning – staying away from home but still at home in the UK. We are enthusiastic advocates of the advantages of making the most of living in the UK and therefore our current issue is proudly dedicated to…

A Staycation Summer

Travelling abroad was not without its challenges even before the recent developments, but now, in the summer of 2020 it seems that many people are making the UK the focus for their summer plans. If you are among them and are looking for ideas for how to spend your time, read on.
