York & Humber Trail Trouble

If you had trouble solving a Trail, don't blame yourself! Although we try our best to keep Trails as up to date as possible, sometimes clues get removed or damaged without our knowledge.

When a problem has been reported we fix the Trail immediately, but if your Trail was bought some time ago, your copy will still have the old clue. However, to allow you still to enter the competition, the answer to the clue is shown below.

York Minster Murder Mystery  - Clue 7

The plaque on which this clue was set has been stolen. The answer is Chloe Pigale. A new clue was created in September 2011.

York Minster Murder Mystery  - Clue 11

There was a small green disk with a perspex dome on the wall of a building. This has been removed by persons unknown. The answer is Cuthbert Morrell. A new clue was created on 20th September 2010.

York Minster Murder Mystery  - Clue 17

Some Trails produced in April & May 2011 will say that the clue is on a brown circle. The clue is on a brown rectangle. This was rectiifed on 17th May 2011. This clue was replaced in September 2011.

The plaque on which this clue was set has been stolen.The answer is Norman Chester. A new clue was created in September 2011.

York Clifford's Tower Spy Mission - Clue 2

On older versions of this Trail, the two numbers you need are 18 and 3. A new clue was created on 13th October 2010.

York Clifford's Tower Spy Mission - Clue 14

The lower arm has been removed. The word on the arm was 'Impressions'. A new clue was created in September 2011.

Selby Spy Mission - Clue 7

On older versions of this Trail, the answer to the memorial to James Kendall is RoseGarden. A new clue was created 16th April 2011.

Selby Spy Mission - Clue 20

On older versions of this Trail, the shaded letter on the answer to clue 20 was B. This was changed for a different letter on 15th April 2011.

Bridlington Old Town Treasure Hunt - Clue 17

The bench where this clue was located has been removed. The answer was Kenohe Bay. A new clue was created 13th June 2011.

Seaton Ross & Holme on Spalding Moor Spy Mission - Clue 7

On older versions of this Trail, the red D has been removed. The answer was DFJ. A new Clue was created in August 2011.

Stamford Bridge & Beyond Murder Mystery - Clue 21

The information board where this clue was located has been removed. The answer is A.P.   A new clue was created 6th November 2011.

York Rowntree Park Treasure Hunt - Clue 1

There was a squirrel carved into the trunk of the tree, but some of it has eroded away. A new clue was created 11th December 2011.

York Rowntree Park Treasure Hunt - Clue 13

The notice with the telephone number on has been removed. The answer was 1575. A new clue was created 11th December 2011.

University of York - Clue 16

The information board where this clue was located has been removed. The answer was 1979. A new clue was created 11th December 2011.
