  • YOUR CASE

A hot headed Bulgarian tourist, and keen trainspotter, Letov Steem was found dead near the railway station. The murderer covered their tracks very well, but local detective, Willie Solvit will not be sidetracked, nor will he allow his investigation to be derailed. He has taken stock, and thinks, with his training, he has a solid platform to build on, but he needs your help to gauge who is innocent and who is guilty of this nasty crime. If successful, you could win a cash prize.

    York Station Murder Mystery

The historic walled city of York is packed with attractions, simply spoiling you for choice. This delightful little Trail will lead you from York Railway Station, past the 53-metre Yorkshire wheel nestled in the grounds of The Royal York Hotel and on into the Memorial Park, beautiful when adorned with flowers in bloom. It is then onwards and upwards for a brief sojourn on the bar walls before you head over Lendal Bridge. Don't forget to give a cheery wave to any passengers on the river boats below. As you meander past the gates of the stunning Museum Gardens you may feel the need for a diversionary picnic before you continue to the awe inspiring Gothic cathedral that is York Minster. The fun filled Trail will then direct you back to York station, where you will drink in yet more scenic delights. En route you will pass the award-winning five star Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa. Why not stop off and sample a cocktail or a heartwarming hot chocolate before you reveal the culprit?

Once the Trail is complete, we highly recommend that you venture further into the heart of this exciting city and discover more of its tucked away treasures. Stroll the longest complete medieval walls in the UK, spend time at the world's largest railway museum, enjoy York's distinctive range of shops or simply sit back and relax with an afternoon tea in one of the many cafes and tea rooms?

This Murder Mystery Walking Trail will take about an hour to complete and is approximately one mile long. Whilst suitable for pushchairs the Trail has unfortunately been deemed unsuitable for wheelchairs.
