  • YOUR CASE

The body of dodgy jeweller, Fay Kemralds, has been found in her shop. Police are treating it as murder, and suspect her assailant to be one of her dissatisfied customers. The detective leading the investigation, Willie Solvit, has a number of clues which he believes will lead to the culprit, but needs your help in solving them. Can you help?

    Howden Murder Mystery

Clearly visible for miles around, the Minster tower of the eighth century St Peter and St Paul church, is a key reason why Howden is a prominent feature of the East Riding of Yorkshire. The Trail will illustrate why this pretty little market town is a must see place and an ideal location to while away a few hours with all the family.

Starting in the central market square you will immediately be drawn to the quaint shops and historic buildings. Do not fear, you will return here later so will have plenty of opportunity to sample the wares on offer.

You will be impressed by the Bishops Manor House, be able to enjoy a play in Ashes Playing Fields and wonder at the many welcoming public houses, before coming to an end at the stunning Minster, with its famous chancel ruins!

This Murder Mystery Walking Trail is 1.5 miles in length and will last about 1.5 hours. It is suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and all ages! Please note, you will need to cross a short section of grassed area in Ashes Playing Fields. Therefore, suitable footwear will be necessary in bad weather and pushchair and wheelchair users may require assistance to cross any muddy patches.
