Long long ago thieves came to Droitwich in search of the gold they heard was hidden there. When they arrived they searched and searched but all they found was salt! They left in disgust! However, legend has it that they didn't search hard enough and there is treasure buried beneath the salt! Can you solve the clues and find the treasure?
Droitwich Spa
Droitwich Spa is an historic town on the River Salwarpe. It is situated on massive deposits of salt and salt has been extracted there since ancient times. The natural Droitwich brine contains 2 1/2 lb of salt per gallon - ten times stronger than sea water and only rivalled by the Dead Sea!
This is a Treasure Hunt Trail.
This level Trail with easy walking is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchair users and on a nice day has some great picnic places!
The Trail will take approximately 2 hours to complete and is about 2 miles long.
