  • YOUR CASE

In the 18th Century gold and silver bullion was stolen by smugglers from a royal barge heading down the canal to the River Severn. Legend has it that the coins were buried on a faraway island. Recently a map of the island was discovered with clues around the town leading to the treasure's location. Can you be the one to find where the treasure is hidden?

    Stourport on Severn

Stourport-on Severn is a popular tourist destination shaped as a consequence of the development of canals. With its Georgian canal heritage and picturesque location on the River Severn, the town offers a wealth of leisure attractions on and by the water.

This is a Treasure Hunt Trail. The Trail takes you for an interesting walk through the town and historic places of interest before finishing by the canal and river area. There are a number of steps to negotiate so it is not ideally suited to wheelchairs and big or heavy pushchairs and prams but otherwise can be enjoyed by young and old alike. Light pushchairs will be able to negotiate it. The Trail will take approximately 2 hours to complete and is about 1.5 miles long.
