Treasure Trails at 3 Counties Show

22/06/2010

Treasure Trails Herefordshire & Worcestershire are joining forces with Treasure Trails Gloucester for this year's 3 Counties Show

The annual show, held at the Malvern Show Ground is a wonderful opportunity for both regions of Treasure Trails to work together and learn from each other, commented Amanda Ingham, owner of TT Herefordshire and Worcestershire.  Our stand number is 145 which is close to the entrance of the show ground and hopefully visitors to the show will come across us and seasoned Trailers will come and find us and tell us about their Trail experiences.

Treasure Trails Herefordshire & Worcestershire are launching two new Trails at the show.

“Thousands of customers have already enjoyed our Treasure Hunt, Murder Mystery and Spy Mission themed Trails and are always asking if we have written any new ones, explained Amanda Ingham, owner of Treasure Trails Herefordshire. “When researching some local history we discovered that this region saw many Viking invasions and battles in the 10th century so both the new Trails have a Vikings theme”.

In around AD 900 the Viking army of Eric, The Blood Axe, landed near Chepstow, crossed the Forest of Dean and set up base at Symonds Yat. You can literally follow in their footsteps by going on a Viking Mystery Walking Treasure Trail. You will see learn some history and have to solve some clues to find out where Eric the Blood Axe might have buried his hidden treasure.

The second Viking Trail is called ‘Old Hereford’ and will take you to some of the most secluded, historical and hidden spots in the old city, seldom seen by visitors or locals. If you have ever wanted to learn more about Hereford’s hidden gems you can help solve the mystery of where the ancient Herefordian monks hid their most precious manuscripts and chalices when they found out that the Vikings were coming. .
