  • YOUR CASE

Locals were shocked to learn of the untimely demise of local inventor Ben Fields. There are many suspects for the murder as Ben’s latest concept was set to revolutionise the motor industry and his designs are missing! If you can uncover the truth about who took the inventor’s life and how they did so, you could win a prize!

Bradford on Avon Riverside to Hillside

Taking its name from the ‘broad ford’ across the river, Bradford on Avon is a charming town. It has a magical appeal created by the fusion of dramatic topography with intriguing history and varied architecture, from elegant golden stone terraces to delightful weavers’ cottages clinging to the hillside overlooking former mills on the river. From the riverside this 1.3 mile circular walking Trail climbs hillside passages to the terraces of Tory for spectacular views. On the way you’ll see one of England’s best preserved Saxon churches, ancient Cotswold stone cottages and magnificent clothiers’ mansions before descending to the landmark 13th Century Town Bridge.

Allow around 1.5 hours for this 1.3 mile Trail which starts and finishes at Station Car Park. Shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants are plentiful and toilets are signposted. Please note that dogs are not permitted in the grounds of Holy Trinity Church but there's a lane to skirt around. The climb to St. Mary's Tory is steep but is worthwhile for views over the town and outlying countryside. With steep ascents and descents this Trail is not ideal for those with bad knees and is regrettably unsuitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.

    WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
The walk was great, and the second one out of the many to choose from that we have done. Definitely something different for people to do, and a bit of fun too.
