Join the Intrepid Explorer Society on an exciting self-guided walking adventure as you follow in the footsteps of Captain Robert Barclay Allardice, Stonehaven's most famous son. Known as the Celebrated Pedestrian, Captain Barclay was a lover of walking and once completed the incredible feat of walking 1000 miles in 1000 hours for a wager of 1000 guineas. But that's not all - rumour has it that he also hid something valuable on a previously unknown island in the North Sea, and it's up to YOU to find it!

The Trail begins at the car park in Queen Elizabeth Park and takes you on a journey through some of the town's most notable historic sites, including Mineralwell Park, the harbour, and Market Square. Can YOU uncover the location of the buried treasure before returning to the start point?
