YOUR CASE

Police have been called to investigate the discovery of the body of local fisherman Olly Oyster that has been found tangled up amongst his nets. From inital thoughts that it was a tragic accident, all is not what it seems; especially as investigations reveal that Olly had a somewhat murky past. Can you help identify the culprit of the crime? If so, you could win a prize.

Tenby

Tenby is a lovely, popular destination on the south coast of Wales. The town faces east as is protected from the prevailing south westerly weather. It was well known in Victorian times as a health resort, and many people visited Tenby for its embracing sea air and healthy lifestyle. Tenby had a good sea port and the Castle on Castle hill was a good headquarters for the town. Further defences were added in the 13th century by the walls that surrounded the town and these were protected by a 30' ditch. Over the years the walls were increased in strength and height for added protection.
St Mary's Church in the walled town is one of the oldest churches in Wales and dates from the 15th century. Fishing has of course been very popular here and in particular, fishing for Oysters. Tenby has also been home to a lifeboat station since 1852 and has saved many lives over the years. For a very short period, Tenby's lifeboat was the most advanced lifeboat in the world!
Tenby is a lovely town with many nooks and crannies to explore within the town's walls - there is certainly plenty to see. The views from the top of Castle hill are well worth the short climb to get there.

This circular Murder Mystery Trail is about 2 miles long and will take about 2 hours. It starts at the Five Arches gate - the main entrance to the walled town and takes in the seafront, harbour, castle hill and the main town. There are a number of slopes and a flight of steps although the steps can be detoured. It is suitable for pushchairs, and slopes permitting, suitable for wheelchairs too.
