YOUR MISSION

Can you help save the Castle? Ancient documents have been unearthed that show valuable treasure hoards have been buried in the vicinity. They have been locked in the town's most secure vault. The evil Professor D. Ragons-Claw and his henchmen have set a timer on a bomb to blow open the doors to the vault. The timer is protected by a secret code. Can you solve the clues to access the timer and reset it, thus saving the Castle!

The Newcastle Emlyn Trail

Newcastle Emlyn is a market town straddling the river Teify, the town is mostly in Carmarthenshire but also in Ceredigion. It is also home to a castle that was first built in the 13th century and has had quite a history - including being blown up! Sadly, not much remains of it today; but it is still worth a visit if only to picnic in the grounds surrounding it. The town itself has a population of just over 1200 with several buildings of note: The Market Hall, the old Court house and the old Workhouse built in 1892, 1868 and 1839 respectively. There is a livestock market held on a Friday.

This Spy Trail is 2 miles long and takes just under 2 hours to complete. It takes in the King George II playing fields, the castle remains and the town centre. The Trail is suitable for pushchairs but can be muddy and uneven for wheelchairs around the Riverside walk and picnic area.
