YOUR CASE
Following a tip off to a local newspaper accusing a local prize winning gardener of cheating, police have announced that her body has been found in suspicious circumstances in amongst her vegetable plot. The police have also confirmed that the gardener's prize winning marrows are missing. If you can uncover the truth about who took the gardener's life and with what weapon they did so, you could win a prize!
Fishguard
Fishguard is divided into two parts, the Lower Town that is a typical small fishing village and the main town of Fishguard itself. The older, lower part is beautifully picturesque and has been chosen for a number of film locations in the past. By the late 18th century, the thriving ship industry in the Lower Town supported some 50 coasting vessels from its harbour. The main part of Fishguard has grown up on the cliffs to the west. Fishguard is famous be being the place for the last invasion of mainland Britain. The French invaded in 1797 but within just a few days surrendered. A local heroine, Jemima Nicholas rounded up 12 of them herself. This Trail takes you from the Lower Town, into the main part of Fishguard and returns via the Marine Walk and coastal path around the cliffs. Beware, the hills around Fishguard are steep.
This circular Murder Mystery Trail is about 2 miles long and will take about 2 1/2 hours. There are a number of steep slopes and a flight of steps. It is suitable for pushchairs, but regrettably not wheelchairs.
