YOUR CASE
Legend has it that the very first potato brought back from South America was cooked at Kenilworth Castle and tasted by Queen Elizabeth. She thought it so disgusting, she threw the remainder out of the window! What most people don't know is that this potato was found by a magic old wizard who turned the potato into pure gold and buried it somewhere in the town. You must follow in the footsteps of the wizard to find the buried treasure!
Kenilworth
Kenilworth is a small and historic town in the green heart of Warwickshire, a real gem that is well worth exploring. It is home to the ruins of England’s most important lake fortress which Queen Elizabeth visited on several occasions. She was entertained with lavish banquets and pageants that cost a hefty £1000 per day! The town also boasts remains of a medieval monastery, the beautiful Abbey Fields and many old timber houses and inns. Let us take you through the streets and fields of this historic town to find where the hidden treasure can be found!
The Trail will take you approximately 2 hours and is about 2 miles long. It is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchair users and you will find plenty of cafes and bars along the way to stop and enjoy a bite to eat or drink if you wish. The Trail starts and finishes at Abbey Fields so if you would like to make a day of it why not take along a picnic to enjoy before or after your Trail?
