  • YOUR CASE

Many years ago the Castle of Beaudesert used to stand tall in Henley in Arden, but following the Battle of Evesham the King's Army burnt it down! The Queen managed to escape along with the Castle treasure and she buried it in the town. She fled to a far away country and lived a long and happy life. Recently a map that she had drawn has been discovered and it shows the location of all the treasure! Can you follow all the clues in the Trail to find it?

    Henley in Arden & Alcester

Let us take you on a journey to the beautiful area of South West Warwickshire and to the towns of Alcester and Henley in Arden. Both towns are steeped in history and have High Street's that are reminiscent of a by gone era. With an abundance of fine cafes, restaurants, bars, shops and the famous Henley Ice Cream, you are sure to have a great day out.

This Trail will take you approximately two and a half hours to complete including the driving from Alcester to Henley in Arden. It is about two miles walking distance and the route has been chosen to suit pushchairs and wheelchairs. Have fun!
