Falkirk is awash with history and much of it can be explored throughout the 3 popular locations visited on the first cycle trail from Scotland southeast, Falkirk Wheel, Rough Castle and Falkirk Town. Where possible use has been made of cycle lanes and paths, however there are some occasions where cycling on quiet roads is necessary.
You can choose any order to visit the locations to solve this treasure hunt. Cycle directions are contained within the trail guide, but you may alternatively opt to use public transport or car to visit each location as there are no clues hidden along the cycle routes between locations. Access to the Falkirk wheel visitor centre is required, limiting the times that the trail can be completed to 6pm in summer and 4pm in winter.
