Welcome to Nottinghamshire
Nottinghamshire lies in the central-eastern area of England. Being divided by the River Trent, which for centuries was the boundary between the north and south of England. In 1448 King Henry VI, gave Nottinghamshire, county status. In 1642 King Charles I chose Nottingham to raise his standard, thus plunging the country into Civil War.
The first mention of Nottingham itself, came from the Anglo-Saxon chronicle of 867. The original name being adapted from Snotengaham.
Home to, Nottingham Lace, Raleigh Cycles and Boots The Chemist. Also famous for Robin Hood and latterly Old Big Ead, himself, Brian Clough !
Covering an area of 844 square miles. The county has many fine towns, villages and areas of interest such as Sherwood Forest.
Marcus and Claire will be endeavouring to produce many varied trails around the county. A blend of walking, cycling and driving trails. Having completed eight trails now, keep revisiting the website to check on forthcoming additions.

If you a buy a trail online you receive it via email as a download which you then print yourself. If you would prefer to receive the trail in a professionally printed A5 booklet format, please call us on the number provided and we will take your payment details over the phone and post the trails to you. A £1 p&p fee will be added to the order. The p&p is free for orders of 3 or more trails.
