Welcome to Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire is steeped in history, beautiful buildings and friendly welcoming inhabitants. Give yourself time to relax and recharge the batteries by visiting our beautiful county.

Split into seven distinct areas Lincolnshire has an area for every taste.

The Fens - More than 200 miles of waterways rich in wildlife criss-cross through here, making for some spectacular scenery. The centre of Lincolnshires flower industry and a host to many beautiful market towns.

The Vales - Stunning architecture combined with stunning views make The Vales a must visit place, see one of Britain's oldest stone towns and walk in the footsteps of Sir Issac Newton and Margaret Thatcher.

Countryside South - Windmills, Watermills, castles and of course the Dambusters. Home of the Eurofighter and the largest contemporary arts centre outside of London.

City of Lincoln - The vibrant heart of Lincolnshire, a mixture of old and new. Visit William the Conquerors Castle which is home to the Magna Carta, the Cathedral which is the biggest building in Lincolnshire or the modern "downhill" shopping. If you time it right you may be able to attend the Sausage festival in Castle Hill.

Countryside North - Mile upon mile of beautiful country side landscape ending on the banks of the Humber. An abundance of gorgeous towns and markets make this a truly relaxing place to de-stress and unwind. Home of the world famous aerial display team; the Red Arrows can often be seen practicing their routines high above.

The Wolds - Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for the last 30 years the Wolds are a truly spectacular sight. Birthplace and inspiration for Alfred Lord Tennyson, combined with traditional market towns offering traditional wares and values.

The Coast - Miles upon miles of award winning sandy beaches combined with Sites of Special Scientific Interest and nature reserves make the Lincolnshire coastline a breathtaking place to visit. Whether it is a ride along the beach on a donkey or bird watching in a hide, the coast will cater for everyone.

Treasure Trails Lincolnshire went live in the middle of May 2009 and now have 19 Trails available. We are currently creating new Trails to add to our portfolio. Keep checking back for progress. If you would like a particular location created soon, please get in touch, we are more than happy to amend our schedule.

Your biggest problem will be choosing which one to do! So why not do them all? The map above shows where we currently have a Trail. Just click on the Trail location button to go to the Trail location page. If you wish to buy it, click the buy now button to add it to your shopping basket, and when you have finished shopping follow the instructions through the checkout. Each one costs just £5.

Remember that if you successfully solve the mystery you will be automatically entered into a competition to win the cash prize. We hope you enjoy the Trails.
