Treasure Trails (Devon)

Testimonials

Sandra from Essex - Jurassic Coast Trail
We had such a brilliant day. We wished we'd set out earlier because we wanted to stop at all the fantastic places we were guided to. We visited places we would have never found. Thought the hunt was very well thought out and researched. We'll definitely do more. Can we have some for Essex and London please!

Kevin from Barnstaple - Tarka Spy Mission Cycling Trail
After seeing the display at the North Devon Show, I immediately visited a local store to purchase a couple of your trails.  The Tarka Trail was of particular interest. We did it on Sunday and found it made our usual cycle trip with our 8 and 4 year old boys more enjoyable and gave it more purpose.  It was set out brilliantly and although we missed a couple, we were able to get them on the way back. I liked the way you get a chance to ride and the stops are stretched out. The instructions were very clear, without being too easy.  I will certainly be buying more and am telling all my friends and colleagues.  Everybody should get outdoors more, whatever the weather.

Doreen from West Yorkshire - Brixham

Very much enjoyed doing the trail, and found it an excellent way of exploring and learning about Brixham.

Muriel and The Biddies - Torquay

This is the first trail that we have done - 3 elderly ladies having a great time and enjoying the sunshine!   (The Biddies promptly ordered another 7 trails to do!)

Peter, Plymouth - Tavistock Trail

A really interesting twist in order to visit somewhere new. Even as someone who thought they knew the area, we saw places we had never noticed before. A clever idea!

Plymouth Waterfront

Excellent way to see Plymouth Hoe. The kids loved it and if you can, you should allow enough time to take in the aquarium as well. We are well and truly hooked on these! Wish there were some in France when we were on holiday!

Carla - Ilfracombe

Thank you for your quick response today. We thoroughly enjoyed the trail (actually purchased the North Devon driving one as well as the weather was so bad!) and we will be highly recommending you to people.  It is a fantastic concept and definitely gets you out exploring places that you think you know, as we are local, but maybe have taken for granted and not really gone beneath the surface.  It certainly brings together an air of family togetherness too.  Fantastic.

Lisa - Middlesex

Really good fun. A great way to see the area.

Caroline, Andy, Ali & Tim

We really enjoyed doing the Tarka 1 Spy Trail with 40 cyclists split into smaller groups of 4 - 6.  Age range 5 to 70!!

Alex - Tiverton

A most enjoyable activity which draws your attention to interesting local history that can otherwise be easily overlooked.

Darren, Deb, Jack, George, Savannah - Devon

Have just completed the Dartmoor Trail. Once again a fantastic day spent in areas right on our doorstep that we would never have visited had it not been for your Trails. The kids thoroughly enjoyed it and dare I say it " I think we are hooked!! " Cannot wait for the next weekend so that we can do another one.

Jo - Honiton

We did the Honiton Trail today and it was brilliant fun - this was our first trail and the whole family (including the dog!) thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this to a friend.

Bridget - Devon

We had a brilliant time on the Totnes Trail  and were so pleased that we got the right answer! Nearly spoilt the surprise by not going into the entrance of the castle but the two ladies called us back and showed us where the clue was hidden.  I'm already planning when I might get the family together again to tackle Teignmouth! Thank you so much for your kindness and when someone next says they don't know what to do for a day out I will certainly recommend Treasure Trails.

Darren - Devon

Our first trail today with my wife, Deb, son Jack,6, son George 5 and daughter Savannah 18 months. We did the Ivybridge trail as a starter to see if we would like to continue doing these, what excellent value for money for a great afternoon of mystery with my hyperactive kids. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I would have no hesitation in recommending your site and trails to anyone.

Jill Wadge - Devon

I would just like to say thank you for your fantastic murder mystery walking trail for Plymouth. My husband and I (both in our late 30's!) did the trail this afternoon and had a great time. I thought it would be really easy but we had to work to find some of the answers! It was great to see part of the city in a completely new light and also learn something new.
Thank you!

Tracey Waygood - Devon
We have recently completed the Tavistock, Devon trail and the three of us really enjoyed the experience of working together and learning about a town we previously had never visited.  A great time spent with a 10 year old out in the sunshine instead of in front of a tv!  Thanks.

Lindsey - Totnes

I am very impressed with the quality of the Totnes trail. Fun for all of the boys (aged 7-14). We saw parts of my home town I've never seen and had a great walk and great fun. We will be doing others. Thank you!!

Reverend Steven Smith - Devon
My wife Gill and I really enjoyed the Grand Western Canal Cycling Trail.  It encouraged us to hire bikes and partake in unaccustomed exercise with the resulting aching muscles!  We so enjoyed the opportunity to cycle once more that two days later we bought a brand new bicycle each!  How’s that for having an effect on people! We are now looking forward somewhat eagerly for any more cycle trails that you do!

Mike, Maria & Newton Norsworthy
Just come home from two weeks in our Motorhome, completed the Fort William trail in Scotland and the Exmouth Trail in Devon in the same week, must be a distance record!! Very enjoyable pursuit and highly recommended.

Mrs Cathy Griffin - Sidmouth
A rainy day in Sidmouth did not dampen the spirits and the Treasure Trail here was fab, kids loved looking for the clues and we got to see more than usual I think of this seaside resort.

Roger Hammett - Plymouth
An excellent day out with a very well constructed treasure trail.

Gemma Fowler - Devon
We did the Topsham treasure trail today as a family. Brilliant fun, we all enjoyed it. Although we only live 10 minutes away we saw parts of Topsham we didn't know existed, it really made us look around but at the same time appreciate the surroundings. Our ages ranged from 7 up to 50 and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely be doing another one soon. Thank you.

 Kirstie Jones - Devon
I just want to let you know how enjoyable we find these trails and how many hours/days of fun we have had.  What a fabulous idea and such fun for everyone.  The trails take you to streets and places that even if you know a place - you didn't know existed or you might not have passed.  It is great that you can now obtain them too from TIC and other places.  A big thank you.

 Linda  Lewis  Exeter
What a great idea! My 10 year old daughter and I came across this in Exeter's Visitors Information Centre and thought it would be a good way of seeing the town instead of aimlessly wandering around. The clues were great, not too easy, not too hard. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Keep up the good work.

Christine Coombes Sidmouth
It was a great Mothers' Day out though and we had loads of fun doing it.  Dartmoor is the next one on our list of many!  Thanks for a fantastic idea!

Isobel (mum) and Flora (aged 8) - Devon
We have just completed the Dartmouth Treasure Trail. What a great way to spend an afternoon outside. The Trail is a great way to keep the children interested and willing to walk for a while. This one is a great one because you can stop for coffee/lunch and then go back to it. We would recommend it for any age group. Looking forward to the next one.

P Garrett - Newton Abbot

We thoroughly enjoyed our day out walking around Totnes; the Treasure Trails are an excellent idea and entertained my young niece and nephew.

W Collins - Devon

My husband and I completed the Dartmoor MM today.
We thoroughly enjoyed it, taking us to places new and old.
