TRAIL TROUBLE

Every posible effort is made to keep the trails fully updated. Unfortunately this is not always possible. When we are made aware of problems on the trail they will appear below. Some of the problems below have been highlighted by trailers allowing us to identify and remedy the problems early, many thanks to those that have taken the time to contact us.

EDINBURGH OLD TOWN - version 2

Road works are taking place outside the Parliment Building at the moment and clue 13 is inaccessible. The answer that you require is 'Manley Mansion'. Additionally, the directions inclcude mention of a zebra crossing which has also been dug up! The overall trail answer is unaffected.

PEEBLES - version 1

It has been reported that the sign containing the answer for clue 9 has been removed. This will be investigated. The answer you require is 'community'.

NORTH BERWICK - version 2

You may experience problems with clue 8. The suspect that you should remove is Joanna Seaholm. Aplogises for any inconvenience.

MELROSE - version 1

The information required for the answer to Clue 19 has changed due to an extension of opening hours being trialled at the library. The answer required for version 1 is 15. Apologises for any difficulties encountered with this answer. This clue has now been removed from the trail.

EDINBURGH CITY CENTRE TRAILS - ALL VERSIONS

Every effort is made to ensure that the trails can be completed at any time. However, in Edinburgh city centre during August (festival time) some unforeseen problems may occur. If you do encounter any difficulties on the trails during this time please e-mail or call for some assistance before submitting your answers. Please accept our sincere apologises for any problems that you may encounter.

EDINBURGH NEW TOWN - version 2

Clue 18 states 'forename' it should read 'surname'. Your required answer is 'grahame'.

NORTH BERWICK - version 1

The position of clue 7 should read AFTER the fork in the road. The answer you require is Paul Seaholm. Amendments have now been made to the trail.

The structure required for clue 8 is no longer in place. The required answer is Rocket.

HADDINGTON - version 1

The plaque that provides the answer to clue 11 has been removed. The answer you are looking for is  Campbell Arnott. The overall answer is not affected.

EDINBURGH GREYFRIARS - version 2

Clue 16 is very difficult to see due to the ongoing work at the Royal Museum. The answer that you may spy is Charles Darwin. Future versions of the trail will be amended.

KELSO - version 1

The headstone that contains the answer to Clue 11 is face down. The required answer is Ralph McKenzie. The overall answer to the trail is not affected.

EDINBURGH NEW TOWN - version 1

A couple of typing errors have been identified in clue 1 and clue 18. This has led to the incorrect number of boxes in the answer grid. If you have purchased a New Town trail please contact us with your unique code and place of purchase to arrange for a new trail to be issued.

EDINBURGH ROYAL MILE - version 1 

An additional suspect is found on the back page, eliminate Anne MacPherson from enquiries before you start. Also the structure that held clue 14 has been removed. The correct answer is Adele Conn.

Additionally clue 21 is proving difficult to find, you should look for an info board in West Parliment Square for your answer. Failing that look at the bottom of this page!!!!!

LINLITHGOW - version 2

One highlighted box is missing from the back page of the Linlithgow spy trail. The box that should be highlighted is the middle box of answer 2.
