  • YOUR CASE

Local residents were shocked and saddened to learn of the untimely demise of local bank manager Thomas T. Thinker. Foul play is suspected, especially since it has been revealed that Mr Thinker had rather a murky past, and there are many suspects for the murder. Can you solve the mystery? If you can, you could win a prize!

    Steyning

Steyning is a charming town with many fascinating buildings which tell the story of its long history. It nestles beneath the South Downs, on the edge of the Sussex Weald and is one of the most scenic towns in Sussex. Originating in Saxon times, the town grew as a centre for the wool trade, and was a thriving port. It continued as an important commercial centre through the middle ages and has sent representatives to Parliament since 1295. Today there are many buildings in the town which reflect this long history and its many literary associations.
Steyning lies between the A24 and A23, just north of the A27. The A283 runs past the town. Free car-parking is available in Steyning at all of the town's car parks.

This is a walking Trail of about 1.25 miles and should take one and a half hours to complete. The Trail is mostly on pavements, and there is one section which takes you onto the grass playing fields, so appropriate footwear is advised in wet weather. The Trail is suitable for pushchairs.
