04/05/2011
Treasure Trails Suffolk launches its first county town Trail today. Focusing on the new compact Waterfront area, the Ipswich Waterfront Trail takes you around the the south side of Ipswich from the Tourist Information Centre, through some historic ruins, around the buzzing harbour area, and back up to the Tourist Information Centre amongst some of Ipswich's smartest restaurants and boutiques.
Full of history, this area combines the best of old and new and, as with all our Trails, will deliver plenty of fun as well as a few surprises and plenty of interesting facts. It's an ideal Trail for a lunchtime break, away from the hubbub of the town centre, with waterside views that will have you dreaming you are on the Mediterranean Riviera.
Ideal for UCS students too, who want to get to know their area better, rather than just admiring the view (see photo below) from their ideally located university buildings!
