YOUR CASE
Iona Mutt, who worked at the local kennels, has been done to death and the Police are baffled. Their spokesman, Sgt. Bill Coe, has asked the public for information as they have no leads to follow at present. You think you have an idea and want to beat the Police to their culprit. Was someone jealous of her friendship with Jack Russell, or has she crossed Pete Bull, the local bruiser?
Around Wombourne
This Trail takes in the delightful village of Trysull, bustling Wombourne and the historic Bratch Locks. Trysull has half-timbered cottages, stately mansions, and a splendid church, all set in rolling countryside. Wombourne, reputedly the largest village in England, has an unusual heart surrounding the cricket ground and a maypole to delight the young at heart. Bratch Locks are fascinating, and to see a narrowboat negotiate them is a memorable experience. An ideal spot to finish - bring a picnic and enjoy this very English spot after your sleuthing has ended with success.
This Murder Mystery Trail is in three parts, requiring around 5 miles of driving or cycling in all. The walking totals 1.5 miles and the whole Trail should take around two and a quarter hours. Free parking is available at all three locations, while the final site is perfect for a celebratory picnic.
