Wells
Wells lies beneath the slopes of the Mendip Hills and is crammed full of historic interest and beautiful architecture. Due to the presence of its magnificent Cathedral Wells qualifies as Englands smallest and Somersets only City. Wells has a thriving market held on a Wednesday and Saturday and we would recommend a visit on one of these days.
This Trail is flat and follows a figure of eight route. It takes you to all the interesting and historic parts of Wells culminating with its magnificent Cathedral and Green.
It is approximately 2 miles long and will take about 2 hours. It may take longer as there is a lot to see on route.
