Twisted Dr Ivor Plott is at it again!
Due to his wicked past, his application for a mooring on the canal to live out his retirement in a houseboat has been firmly rejected. In retaliation, he has planted devices on some of the locks hoping to destroy them and render the canal useless.
Can you discover the code to deactivate the devices and foil his dastardly plan?
Bridgwater & Taunton Canal
The Bridgwater & Taunton Canal is just over 14 miles long, it crosses the lowlands of Somerset in which there are numerous SSSI’s (Sites of Special Scientific Interest) and it also runs through rolling countryside along the Tone Valley. Almost all of the route is rural and peaceful, there are only a few villages and two towns Bridgwater and Taunton at each end.
This Trail starts at the Taunton end and is 7 miles long, (one way), it finishes at Lower Maunsel Lock where there is a canalside teashop. The route is on the canal towpath and is a mixture of tarmac, gravel and grass although it is all very well maintained. You will be also able to experience The Somerset Space walk as you complete the Trail passing the planets from Pluto to the Sun on route.
