YOUR MISSION
Twisted Dr Ivor Plott is back. Being a resident of Higher Town, he has become jealous of the attention the prom, Quay Town and Lower Town get during the summer months.
He has planted an enormous bomb under the sea to create a wave big enough to breach the new sea defences and flood the area.
Can you find the deactivation code in time to save the town?
Minehead
Minehead has originated from three seperate communities "Higher Town", "Quay Town" and "Lower" or "Middle Town" which is now the main shopping area. The town is dominated by North Hill, from its summit can be seen the Quantocks, the Brendons and the nearer Hopcott Hills. Nestled on the slopes of the hill is the fourteenth century parish church of St Michael seen as a sentinel from far out to see. The beach stretches for about a mile from the Strand to Warren Point. The South West Coastpath to Poole starts on the promenade and is marked with a sculpture. Lower or Middle town is the most modern part of the town being rebuilt after the Great Fire of Minehead in 1791.
This is one of our favourite Trails. It takes in the seaside, the town, North Hill, the gardens and the Harbour area. The views along the Trail are magnificent and well worth the gentle ascent in the middle of the route. Regrettably due to the historic church steps the Trail is unsuitable for wheelchair users although manageable for light pushchairs.
The Trail is approximately 2 1/2 miles long and will take about 2 hours to complete
A Trail not to be missed.
