    On the eve of the famous Frome cheese show, world acclaimed cheese maker Wayne Sleedale has cut his last curd and met an untimely death. His body was discovered under his table in the cheese marquee. As a five times best of show champion, his arrogance has meant he has made many enemies in the cheese producing world. But who disliked him enough to kill him?

    Frome is the fourth largest town in Somerset. The town centre comprises of steep hills and cobbled streets.
    There are numerous well preserved architectually sound historic buildings to be seen, in fact there are more listed buildings in Frome than any other Somerset town.
    Originally a textile area, the town is also known for printing and more recently has become a focus for Arts and Crafts.
    The Annual Argricultural and Cheese Show, in its 132nd year is one of the biggest of its kind in the Country with in excess of 500 cheeses on show to taste and compare along with numerous other attractions.
    Held in September the 2008 show attracted over 15,000 visitors.

    This is a circular Trail of 2 1/2 miles and will take about 2 hours to complete.
    It is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs although due to the historic nature of Frome there are some cobbled streets and hills which may be slippery when wet.
    You will see evidence of the ancient past of this market town, in fact it starts in "The Old Market" car park.
