  • YOUR CASE

The tyrannical Lord of Chard Manor, William Forbes, has met an untimely death. His body was discovered by his devoted butler, Hamilton after a well publicised revolt by all of the servants and staff of the Estate. Each and every one of them had their own motive. Can you discover who the culprit was?

    Chard

Chard is a Beautiful market town close to the Devon border and 15 miles South West of Yeovil.
Steeped in history Chard claims to be the birthplace of aviation as it was here in 1848 that John Stringfellow first demonstrated that engine powered flight was possible.

This is a lovely circular Trail which takes in the historic sites of Chard and passes the towns museum where you can visit and spend time learning more about the towns many interesting previous residents.

We enjoyed writing this Trail as there was so much to learn along the way.
It is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs and is about 2 miles long and will take approximately 2 hours to complete.
