    Bridgwater

Bridgwater nestles quietly on the banks of the river Parrett. It is a historic town with an entry in the Domesday Book.
It has played an important part in the economic growth of the area being a major shipping port in the West Country from 1402.
Now it is a thriving industrial town.
The town is probably most famous for it's Autumn fair and Guy Fawkes Carnival held in the town since 1249.
Many famous people are associated with the town including the aforementioned Guy Fawkes who lived locally and more so Admiral Robert Blake one of Britian's most important military commanders.

This is a circular route about 2 miles long and approximately 2 hours in duration.
It will take you past many of the historic locations in the town where there is a lot to learn and discover.

It is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
